1 billion VND in charity to support the poor in Do Luong
(Baonghean.vn) - Nearly 1 billion VND to support 171 families in special difficulty is the amount of money that the charity group "Do Luong - Sharing love" has donated and supported after 1 year of establishment. Since then, many poor families have more faith and motivation to improve their lives.

Continuing the success of charity activities, on the evening of May 14, in Trung Son commune (Do Luong district), the group "Do Luong - Sharing love" coordinated with Trung Son commune Youth Union to organize a charity music night.
The music night was attended by representatives of the District Party Committee, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations of Do Luong district and a large number of local people.

The first charity music night Sharing Love was held in May 2017. After one year of establishment, the Do Luong - Sharing Love group has coordinated with commune-level youth organizations to organize 8 charity music nights.
Through the program, 515 million VND was raised to directly support 30 households in extremely difficult circumstances. 171 poor and extremely difficult households were supported with a total amount of money and goods of more than 928 million VND.

In Trung Son commune, the music night raised more than 80 million VND. This amount was divided equally among 5 households in particularly difficult circumstances in the commune, including: The family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Oanh, hamlet 8, who was injured in a work accident and is bedridden with no income; Nguyen Doan Nam Anh, who has cerebral atrophy, his parents work far away, and he lives with his grandparents in poor conditions; Ms. Le Thi Linh, in hamlet 6, who has been bedridden with polyarthritis since 2007, and whose husband is elderly and often sick; Ms. Tran Thi Quy, who was born deaf and mute, lives alone and is currently worshipping her father, a martyr; the family of Mr. Nguyen Thai Nam, hamlet 6, a family of 5, 3 of whom are disabled and unable to work.

Notably, not only businesses and philanthropists participated in the support, but many people also joined hands to contribute to this charity music night; showing the spread of the program when organized in the community.
