13 provinces and cities will deploy Covid-19 vaccination in March and April
According to the Ministry of Health, 13 provinces and cities currently experiencing an epidemic will be vaccinated against Covid-19, including: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Hung Yen, Hoa Binh, Gia Lai, Binh Duong, Dien Bien and Ha Giang.
Implementation time: March-April 2021.
The next vaccination rounds will be deployed based on the actual vaccine supply progress. The Ministry of Health will provide specific instructions for each round.
The subjects receiving the first round of vaccination include: Frontline forces in epidemic prevention and control, including:
- Medical staff are treatingCovid-19 patient.
- People participating in epidemic prevention (Members of the Steering Committee for Epidemic Prevention at all levels, people working in quarantine areas, performing tracing and epidemiological investigation tasks, community-based Covid teams, volunteers, reporters, and staff taking samples for testing).
- Army, Police.

To implement vaccination safely and effectively, on March 6, the Ministry of Health sent an urgent dispatch to the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province and centrally-run city and requested the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province and centrally-run city to pay attention to directing the Department of Health to preside over and coordinate with the Departments, Committees and branches to develop a plan to use Covid-19 vaccine in the locality.
Mobilize all forces participating in vaccination, including local medical facilities and medical training facilities, to organize Covid-19 vaccination to ensure safety and effectiveness for subjects in accordance with the provisions of Resolution No. 21/NQ-CP dated February 26, 2021 of the Government on purchasing and using Covid-19 vaccines; Monitor and handle adverse events after vaccination.
At the same time, arrange sufficient funding and human resources to deploy Covid-19 vaccination according to Resolution No. 21/NQ-CP dated February 26, 2021 of the Government on purchasing and using Covid-19 vaccines.
Organize information and communication on mass media, provide information to press agencies, communicate to people and the community about vaccination subjects, types of Covid-19 vaccines, and monitor post-vaccination reactions.
Directing the continued implementation of measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic according to the instructions of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control and the Ministry of Health.
