15 women from Vinh City were awarded prizes in the online photo contest 'Charming Vietnamese Ao Dai'

On the evening of June 26, in Vinh city, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union coordinated with the Vinh City Women's Union to organize the summary and award ceremony of the online photo contest "Charming Vietnamese Ao Dai".

The contest was launched in early March, as part of a series of activities to celebrate the 110th anniversary of International Women's Day, March 8.

The 2020 Vinh City Online Photo Contest "Charming Vietnamese Ao Dai" attracted 233 contestants from all wards and communes in the city to submit photos to the contest, including the youngest contestant Nguyen Thi Mai Linh (born in 1998), the oldest contestant Ho Thi Chan (born in 1923). Contestants who submitted photos to the contest are of different ages and occupations, but all have the same purpose of contributing to honoring the beauty of women and the traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai.

The online photo contest “Charming Vietnamese Ao Dai” has also been spread to organizations, members and a large number of people to participate in. On the pageFanpage of Vinh City Women's Union,The page has reached over 45,000 views and 9,000 likes. The organizers have awarded weekly first prizes to contestants.

At the end of round 1 - the online voting round, there were more than 50 beautiful photos, 49 contestants with online test scores of 1,000 points or more were selected for round 2. From here, the jury selected the 15 best contestants to award prizes. In which, the first prize belonged to contestant Nguyen Thi Khanh Linh; the second prize belonged to two contestants Tran Thi Nga and Nguyen Thi Tinh; the third prize belonged to contestants: Le Thi Tinh An, Ngo Thi Hue and Pham Thi Thuy Hang.

The Organizing Committee also awarded 4 Consolation Prizes and other prizes: Contestant with the most beautiful Ao Dai; Contestant with the most beautiful photo; Contestant with the most impressive Ao Dai; Contestant with the best essay. In particular, the prize for the oldest contestant was awarded to Mrs. Ho Thi Chan (97 years old).

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded a collective prize to the Women's Union of Ben Thuy Ward (Vinh City) for having the most contestants participating in the contest.
