3 trucks 'backed up', 35 meter road in Vinh city seriously congested
A traffic accident between three heavy trucks occurred at around 6 p.m. on August 25, causing a 35-meter road in Vinh City to be seriously congested.

According to information received, at around 6:00 p.m. on August 25, on the 35-meter road connecting National Highway 46 in Nghi An commune with the Lam River road in Hung Hoa commune (also known as Van Xuan road), a serious traffic accident occurred between 3 trucks. The accident occurred right through Hung Loc commune, near the intersection of Nghe An Pedagogical College.

The accident occurred between 3 trucks traveling in the same direction, from Lam River road to National Highway 46, fortunately there were no casualties.

However, the incident caused traffic congestion on the 35-meter road. Authorities had to divert traffic from the beginning of the intersection of the Pedagogical College, the intersection between the 35-meter road and Le Viet Thuat Street, and the intersection of Le Quy Don Street and the 35-meter road.

After being diverted, a large number of heavy trucks entered Le Quy Don Street, causing significant damage to the road. In particular, trees along the road were "swept" and felled by container trucks, and many electric wires crossing the road were also affected.

Authorities are still urgently investigating the cause of the accident and directing traffic.
The 35-meter route is an important traffic route of Vinh City. The route connects 4 communes of Hung Hoa, Hung Loc, Nghi Duc and Nghi An with Vinh - Cua Lo road, Provincial Road 535, National Highway 46 and Lam River road. This is considered a vital road located in the East of the city, since its completion and put into use in 2018. However, recently, due to the circulation of many heavy-duty vehicles, the route has been degraded, sinking into deep ditches at many points.
