38 students in the mountainous area of ​​Nghe An must be quarantined because F0 appeared in the class.

On the afternoon of November 13, Mr. Lo Thanh Nhat - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district said that the locality had set up 6 checkpoints and completely blocked off Nhon Mai village (Nhon Mai commune), immediately after 3 cases appeared in a family in this village. "Currently, Nhon Mai village has been upgraded to level 4," Mr. Nhat said.

These 3 patients include a couple and their 12-year-old daughter, who is in 7th grade. Previously, on November 5, the husband traveled from Dong Nai to his hometown. After going to the health station to declare, because he had received 2 doses of vaccine, he was allowed to quarantine at home for 7 days as prescribed. However, on the last day of quarantine, the test results showed that he was infected with Covid-19. Taking samples of the remaining members recorded 2 more cases: the wife and daughter.

Mr. Lu Ngoc Tinh - Chairman of Nhon Mai Commune People's Committee said that up to now, 86 F1 cases of all 3 patients have been traced. Of which, 38 are students in the same class as the patient. All F1 samples have been taken for testing but the results are not yet available. The authorities are also taking all F1 to Thach Giam town, about 150 km away, for centralized quarantine.

According to Mr. Tinh, in addition to the students studying with the patient, the remaining F1s are mainly neighbors who came to visit the patient's family after he returned home from the South.

Nhon Mai is one of the most remote and isolated border communes of Nghe An. The majority of the population is ethnic minorities, and life is still difficult. Nhon Mai is the central village, with a population of over 1,000 people.
