4 warning signs you are eating too few fruits and vegetables
Weight gain and fatigue can be warning signs that you are not eating enough fresh fruits and vegetables.
Eating too few green vegetables, fruits... means you are not providing enough fiber for your body, increasing the risk of weight gain, heart disease and cancer. According to Webmd,The symptoms of a diet low in fruits and vegetables are often subtle. However, there are four important warning signs to watch for:
Constipation
If you have fewer than three bowel movements a week and your stools are hard and dry, you may be constipated. Constipation can be caused by eating too few fruits and vegetables or by not getting enough exercise. Some medications and dietary supplements can also cause this condition.
Prevention: If your constipation is related to your diet, try adding more fiber-rich foods to your diet, such as apples, raspberries, carrots, cauliflower, or whole grains. Increasing your fiber intake can help soften stools and relieve or prevent constipation. Be sure to add fiber slowly so your body can use it, drink plenty of water, and exercise regularly.

Prevention: Aim for 25-35 grams of fiber per day by eating plenty of fresh fruits, seasonal vegetables, and whole grains. Choose high-fiber foods that you enjoy.
Changes in blood sugar levels
If you have diabetes and are having trouble controlling your blood sugar, talk to your doctor. Your diet may not be providing you with enough fiber.
