(Baonghean) - These days, Trung Son Commune (Do Luong) is experiencing a bustling atmosphere of new rural construction with a creative approach: Implementing the policy of "60 peak days of new rural construction".

Party cell secretary of hamlet 5 Nguyen Huu Sau shared: In the economic conditions of the locality as well as the lives of the majority of people are still difficult, the policy of "60 peak days of building new rural areas" of the Commune Party Committee really arouses the internal strength of "using people's strength to take care of people's lives".

Up to this point, after more than 40 days of peak construction of the new rural area, the cadres and people of hamlet 5 have directly contributed money and labor to renovate the Cultural House, associated with building a flower garden in the cultural house grounds; leveling the ground, building a mini soccer field; building a model road with drainage ditches.

In addition, the people also directly cleared trees, collected garbage, expanded the corridor of 3 rural traffic routes, ensuring ventilation and cleanliness. The policy of "60 peak days of building new rural areas" in Trung Son has created consensus and response from the majority of people not only because the policy is correct but also because the cadres and party members also join in with the people.

Comrade Vuong Thi Quy - Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, said: In addition to directly "rolling up sleeves" to participate in the beautification of the headquarters campus, from clearing grass to building flower beds, planting trees and ornamental flowers, and making the headquarters yard; all cadres, civil servants, and workers of Trung Son commune are divided into working groups and take every Saturday as New Rural Day to go to hamlets, to each family to propagate, mobilize, advise, and guide each household on how to beautify, build model gardens, arrange household items, guide environmental treatment in livestock farming, wastewater, and even participate in labor with people to clear and beautify village roads, alleys, cultural houses... On the part of the Fatherland Front, the commune's unions all registered a part of the work or a project and sponsored 2 hamlets in building New Rural Areas...

In parallel with the above activities, according to the Party Secretary of the commune, Trung Son is also focusing on promoting production, increasing income for people, ensuring sustainable new rural construction, such as converting some areas of alluvial land to grow squash; vegetables on 2-rice land; developing a model of free-range chicken farming; converting mixed gardens into gardens with economic value...

Up to this point, after more than 40 days of implementing the peak period of building new rural areas, the locality has mobilized people to contribute more than 1 billion VND; donated over 2,000 m2land; demolishing hundreds of meters of fences and cutting down hundreds of trees of all kinds to widen the rural traffic road. Currently, 6/6 hamlets have completed the renovation and fully purchased cultural house facilities; nearly 10 km of rural traffic roads have been renovated and a drainage system has been built; hundreds of households have renovated their home gardens, of which 40 households have built model gardens, including fruit trees and commercial vegetables...

With the direction, creative approach and results of the past days, the rural face in Trung Son has changed. And more importantly, it has eliminated the inferiority complex that the local economic conditions are difficult and eliminated the mentality of being afraid of difficulties, waiting, and relying on cadres, party members and people in the movement to build new rural areas. This will be the driving force for Trung Son commune to confidently strive to reach the new rural target by the end of 2018, a goal that was missed once at the end of 2016./.
