(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, in Nghia Dan district, there are 950 hectares of rice infected with sheath blight. The district is actively implementing many measures to help farmers prevent it effectively and minimize damage.
In the 2018 winter-spring rice crop, Nghia Dan district planted 3,200 hectares, reaching 100% of the plan. Currently, brown spot disease is damaging rice varieties and rice fields with a common density of 5 - 7%, high 10 - 15%, locally 30 - 40% of fields; disease levels 1, 3, 5.
Up to now, the area of infected rice in the whole district is 950 hectares, mainly concentrated in the communes of Nghia Hung, Nghia Khanh, Nghia Hoi, Nghia Thang, Nghia Trung...
