In early 2016, he went all the way to Bac Giang to buy 450 pairs of breeding pigeons to raise. He divided the pigeon cage into many compartments of different sizes, each compartment raising 4-5 birds.
According to Mr. Nhat, French pigeons are very easy to raise, their main food is corn bran and rice mixed together, fed twice a day. For pairs raising young birds, feed them once a day. In addition, the cage must be cleaned regularly, food and water must be clean, and supplements and preventive medicine must be added on a regular basis.

The French pigeon breed has a very regular and high reproductive capacity. Each female pigeon starts to lay her first clutch at 4 - 5 months old, each clutch lays 2 eggs. After 10 - 15 days, the female will lay the next clutch; on average, each breeding pair lays 8 - 10 clutches/year.
After 16 - 18 days of incubation, the baby birds are cared for by the parents in the cage. On the 30th day, when they reach the right weight, they can be sold commercially.
Pigeons incubate and raise their own eggs. Each breeding pair is kept in a separate cage, suitable for the captive environment, highly resistant to disease, and has a higher weight than normal pigeon breeds.
Only invest in buying the initial breed, then the family can supply the new breed, reducing investment costs and ensuring a source of breed.
Thanks to that, the number of pigeons that Mr. Nhat's family regularly raises is always from 450 to 500 pairs, including 250 pairs of parent pigeons. On average, each month, his family sells from 100 to 120 pairs of pigeons of all kinds; at the price of 200,000 to 300,000 VND/pair of breeding pigeons; 70 to 90 VND/commercial pigeon (young pigeon, weighing from 0.5 kg). On average, each month, the family earns a profit of 15 to 18 million VND.
