(Baonghean.vn) - With warm sharing, these days, many meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival activities have been coordinated by organizations and units for children in flood-hit and disadvantaged areas in the province.

* On September 22 and 23,Provincial Youth Union in coordination with Nghe An Border Guard, Tien Phong Newspaperwith sponsors to organize the Mid-Autumn Festival program in flood-affected areas "Sharing love", bringing joy to students in Na Ngoi, Muong Ai and Muong Tip communes, Ky Son district.

These are border communes that have just suffered heavy damage due to floods, making the lives of the people and students still face many difficulties and shortages...

The program presented students of schools in 3 communes with a total of 1,552 warm coats, 300 school bags, 7,700 notebooks, 300 moon cakes, 300 star lanterns, 500 masks, 165 boxes of instant noodles, 2 sets of computers, some candy and sports equipment.

The program also awarded 15 Vu A Dinh scholarships from the Central Youth Union and scholarships from the Association for Promoting Education to students with difficult circumstances who strive to study well. The total value of the program's gifts is 500 million VND.

Here, along with organizing many cultural and artistic activities, the delegation gave nearly 700 Mid-Autumn gifts to nearly 700 children in Bao Thang commune, each gift including: school backpacks, moon cakes, milk, and candy.

Previously, the delegation organized free medical examinations and medicine for people in Bao Thang commune; presented 50 cartons of milk and 100 scholarships, each worth 500,000 VND, to students at Bao Thang Ethnic Minority Secondary School. The total value of the gifts was nearly 300 million VND.

Bao Thang is a remote and extremely disadvantaged commune of Ky Son border district, Nghe An province. This is the place where 100% of the Kho Mu ethnic group lives scattered in 5 villages with 462 households, over 2,142 people, the whole commune currently has nearly 63% poor households.
