(Baonghean.vn) - The karaoke bar owner who was previously fined by authorities for operating illegally was recently discovered to have contracted Covid-19, and then infected four of her employees.

On August 19, the Department of Health continued to record 2 Covid-19 cases temporarily residing in Nghi Phong commune (Nghi Loc district), including Moong Thi Ng. (24 years old), and Vy Thi H. (26 years old). Both are ethnic minorities in the highlands of Nghe An, working as employees at Sinh Vien karaoke bar, located in hamlet 1, Nghi Phong commune.

A day before, two other employees of this karaoke bar, Ms. Nguyen Thi A. (35 years old) and Ms. Vuong Thi L. (62 years old), also tested positive for Covid-19. All of these people were determined to have been infected by their boss, patient Tran Thi H. (52 years old, residing in Nghi An commune, Vinh city).

Accordingly, recently, Ms. H. often went to Quang Trung market to buy food. On August 15, she had symptoms of fatigue and fever, so she went to the hospital to get tested and the result was positive. After tracing all F1, up to now, in addition to the 4 employees of the karaoke bar, Ms. H.'s biological mother, who is 92 years old this year, and a friend in Nghi Truong commune (Nghi Loc), also tested positive for Covid-19.

According to local residents, the karaoke bar owned by Ms. H. had repeatedly failed to comply with epidemic prevention regulations and had been operating secretly while the epidemic was complicated. After receiving complaints from local residents, at midnight on July 14, 2021, a police team suddenly raided the bar and discovered 3 men and 2 women singing enthusiastically in the bar.

After making a record, on July 21, 2021, Nghi Loc District People's Committee issued a decision to administratively fine Ms. H. 15 million VND for not implementing the decision to apply measures to limit mass gatherings or temporarily suspend business activities.

Meanwhile, karaoke is one of the services that has been temporarily suspended for many months to prevent and fight the Covid-19 epidemic./.
