The Provincial Exercise Steering Committee deployed the defense area exercise task in Yen Thanh and Nam Dan districts.

Colonel Dinh Bat Van - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, member of the Provincial Exercise Steering Committee, led the delegation.

In 2024, the Provincial Steering Committee assigned the task of organizing defense area drills in Yen Thanh and Nam Dan districts with the following topics: Moving armed forces into combat readiness states, moving localities into defense states; organizing preparation and combat practice, firmly protecting the district defense areas.

The exercise is divided into 3 phases: Phase 1: Putting armed forces into combat readiness, putting localities into defense status; Phase 2: Organizing preparations for defensive operations; Phase 3: Practicing operations.

Immediately after the Directive of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the plan of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Exercise Steering Committee, the District Exercise Steering Committees issued Directives, specialized Resolutions, Decisions to establish Steering Committees, Subcommittees to assist, assign roles in the exercise; organize the construction and repair of the Exercise Command Center; survey the actual positions; prepare forces, means and facilities; organize the assignment of specific tasks to agencies, units and localities participating in the exercise to ensure compliance with procedures...

Concluding the task assignment session, Colonel Dinh Bat Van - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, Member of the Provincial Exercise Steering Committee highly appreciated the preparation work for the exercise tasks of the Yen Thanh and Nam Dan District Exercise Steering Committees; and agreed with the content, intention, and time of the exercise of the districts.

To successfully complete the task of the Yen Thanh and Nam Dan district defense area drills in 2024, the Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command requested the District Drill Steering Committees to thoroughly disseminate to all levels, sectors, organizations and people the purpose, requirements and importance of the drills, enhance the responsibility of the participating forces, promote the combined strength of the entire political system to ensure the most effective drills; do well all preparations, especially building the drill command center items, plans, contents and drill roles. Along with that, carefully study the documents to apply them to the exercises close to reality. Organize the mobilization of forces, means and materials to ensure sufficient conditions for participating in the drills.

Close coordination between the standing agency and departments, branches and establishments to prepare and practice drills to achieve the best results. Strengthen inspection and organize trial drills of some contents to gain experience, at the same time unify the drill contents for agencies and units, assign specific forces and means for each drill content to meet the requirements and ensure absolute safety.

The defense area exercise in Yen Thanh and Nam Dan districts is expected to take place in August 2024./.
