(Baonghean.vn) - On April 24, the working delegation of the Nghe An Provincial Exercise Steering Committee held a conference to deploy the 2024 defense area exercise tasks in Quy Hop and Tan Ky districts.

In 2024, in Nghe An province, the districts of Quy Hop, Tan Ky, Quynh Luu, Hoang Mai town, Yen Thanh, Nam Dan will organize defense area drills; Hung Nguyen district will organize flood and storm prevention drills.
At the conference, delegates listened to the Provincial Defense Area Exercise Steering Committee disseminate the Provincial People's Committee's Directive on the implementation of training and exercise tasks in 2024; Decision to establish the Provincial Defense Area Exercise Steering Committee. Unified the contents of the exercise on the mechanism operation, field exercises, locations of training and official exercise time points. The Provincial Exercise Steering Committee also directly inspected the construction quality of items at the exercise command post; field exercise areas in localities.
After listening to the agencies and units report on the progress of preparations for the 2024 Defense Zone exercise, Colonel Dinh Bat Van - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, Member of the Provincial Exercise Steering Committee highly appreciated the preparations for the 2024 Defense Zone exercise of the locality and agencies and units.
He requested to do better in coordinating with local departments, branches and sectors to survey and agree on plans to adjust, supplement and complete the construction of items in the exercise command centers at all levels.
The Provincial Military Command prepares documents, trains, guides, and approves the contents and scenarios of the exercise; synthesizes and estimates the facilities, forces, and technical means participating in the exercise; surveys and determines the locations for live-fire exercises, builds a system of trenches, fortifications, and battlefields; prepares well the technical equipment, materials, and training models to serve the exercise tasks.
Strengthen propaganda work on the purpose and significance of the exercise. Regularly report to the Provincial Military Command to have plans to direct and establish inspection teams to inspect the quality of preparation work, ready for the 2024 defense area exercise in localities to take place on schedule, achieving the set goals and requirements./.
