Chieng Huong Village celebrates Great Unity Day
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 11, a working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee led by Colonel Phan Dai Nghia - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command attended the National Great Unity Day in Chieng Huong village, Quang Phong commune, Que Phong district.
Joining the delegation were comrade Truong Minh Cuong - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Que Phong district; representative of the Provincial Ethnic Committee; leaders of the Military Command of Que Phong district, and representatives of Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and organizations at all levels to share joy with the people.

Que Phong is a poor mountainous district of Nghe An province; it has 75 km of border with Hua Phan province, Lao People's Democratic Republic. The poverty rate of the district accounts for more than 40%, the number of near-poor households accounts for nearly 25%. In recent times, the Party Committee and government of Que Phong district have had many solutions to make breakthroughs and develop the local socio-economy. The district has promoted the movement "Joining hands for the poor", promptly and effectively implemented projects under the National Target Program on rapid and sustainable poverty reduction for the period 2021-2025... to arouse the will and efforts to escape poverty for the people.

Currently, Que Phong district has many households voluntarily writing applications to escape poverty; 100% of children of school age are able to go to school; 100% of poor and near-poor households are participating in health insurance and are able to borrow capital for production and business; security and national defense are constantly strengthened. With the achievements, at the 60th anniversary of the district's founding, the Party Committee, Government and People of all ethnic groups in Que Phong district were awarded the Second Class Labor Medal by the President; Emulation Flag by the Prime Minister and received the National Historical Relic Ranking Certificate for the Nine-Garden Temple.
Speaking at the National Great Unity Day, Colonel Phan Dai Nghia - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Front Work Committee and the people of Chieng Huong village, Quang Phong commune in particular and Que Phong district in general. Notably, the maintenance and promotion of the strength of the great national unity bloc, innovation in the thinking and working methods of the Front Work Committee and the local people.

He emphasized four key tasks in the coming time, focusing on: Strengthening propaganda work, bringing the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels into people's lives; Continuing to promote the good implementation of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas". Building and implementing plans to repair village and hamlet roads, building welfare works and applying scientific and technological advances to production, livestock and cultivation to improve people's income and cultural life; Implementing the will of solidarity to develop the economy; striving for no hungry or poor households in the village and hamlet, improving life along with improving people's knowledge to create the strength of the great solidarity bloc.
