Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee attended the Great Solidarity Festival in Met village, Con Cuong district
(Baonghean.vn) - On November 8, Binh Chuan commune, Con Cuong district organized a national solidarity festival in Met village. Attending were comrade Le Duc Cuong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee. Also attending were leaders of Con Cuong district.
The festival reviewed the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2023) and evaluated the results of the Front Working Committee of the Met residential area. The village was formerly called Ca In village, a merger of two resettlement villages.
Speaking at the festival, comrade Le Duc Cuong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee praised the spirit of solidarity, unity and consensus of the cadres and people of Met village, and emphasized that the cadres and people here continue to strengthen the great national solidarity bloc, mutual love and support, and help households in especially difficult circumstances. Along with that, improve the quality of building cultural residential areas and cultural families; promote the movement of encouraging learning and talent in each family, clan and residential community; and maintain environmental sanitation.

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province presented 10 gifts to poor households in especially difficult circumstances, donated 5 million VND and gifts to the Front Working Committee of Met village. The District Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee of Con Cuong district supported 50 million VND to build a solidarity house for Mrs. Kha Thi Uy's household, presented gifts to 5 poor households, donated 5 million VND to the Front Working Committee of Met village and presented 100 national flags to Binh Chuan commune. Nguyen Dung Construction Company supported 100 million VND to Binh Chuan commune to build 2 solidarity houses for poor households.
The ceremony also commended and rewarded outstanding collectives, families and individuals with outstanding achievements in building residential communities. Gifts were presented to frontline cadres of all periods, and the emulation movement was signed in 2024.
After the ceremony, the National Solidarity Festival in Met village also featured folk games in a joyful and exciting atmosphere such as: throwing con, tug of war, bamboo pole jumping, carving furrows, beating gongs, etc., attracting a large number of people to participate.
