Selling pork 30% cheaper than market price to industrial park workers
Livestock Association directly buys pigs from farms at high prices, then slaughters them and directly retails them to consumers without taking profit. That is how it is done in Dong Nai province.
Currently, Dong Nai province has nearly 30 industrial parks with more than 700,000 workers. In order to rescue the pig herd that is stuck for farmers in the province, the Livestock Association of this province is preparing land and locations to sell pork to workers in industrial parks in the next few days.
In the immediate future, the Dong Nai Province Livestock Association will select a number of locations in industrial parks in Bien Hoa City to sell pork to workers, then expand to other industrial parks in the province.

Pork will be sampled by the veterinary industry to ensure food safety and hygiene and control veterinary hygiene during the slaughter process and sold at about 30% lower than market price.
The Livestock Association directly purchases pigs from farms at a price 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg higher than the price of traders, then slaughters and directly retails to consumers, without intermediaries and without taking profit.
Mr. Nguyen Tri Cong, Chairman of the Dong Nai Province Livestock Association, said that this solution will solve the problem of pork inventory among the people, bringing better pork prices in the future.
“The association will find ways to gradually increase the pork market. Currently, the Government and ministries are actively intervening, so the livestock market will certainly be rescued. Pig farmers also need to rest assured, not to create disruptions, if the market is disrupted, traders will have the opportunity to squeeze prices,” said Mr. Cong.
