On the afternoon of October 11, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Department of Information and Communications held a regular press conference.

In September 2016, many current events, politics, and culture were vividly reflected by newspapers and radio stations, such as meetings between provincial leaders and localities; activities to bring the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels into life; the 86th anniversary of the Nghe Tinh Soviet, etc.

Labor production emulation movements, warning information, forecasting natural disasters, floods, etc. are also actively and well propagated; information with detection and warning nature is also regularly and promptly posted such as violations in land trading and transfer; lax management of plant protection drugs; fraud in social insurance records, etc.

However, in September, press agencies still had limitations that needed to be overcome, such as electronic information sites with domain names related to Nghe An posting misleading news to the public. Some cases are being investigated by authorities, with no conclusions yet, but newspapers and radio stations have reported them, causing confusion.

At the conference, comrade Ho Quang Thanh commented and explained the opinions of representatives of press, radio, and information agencies on some contents of the implementation of the Press Law by the Ministry of Information and Communications in handling violations of organizations and individuals operating in the press field in September 2016.
