School security guard broke into safe and stole hundreds of millions of dong

Taking advantage of being a school security guard, Tran Van Tuan broke into a safe and stole more than 300 million VND.

On September 10, Hoang Mai District Police, Hanoi announced: They have completed the case file and prosecuted Tran Van Tuan (born in 1983, residing in Trung Phung Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi) for theft of property. It is worth mentioning that Tuan is the security guard of the school where the subject broke into the safe and stole 300 million VND.

On the morning of August 24, the staff of the Finance Department of Truong Dinh Secondary School, Hoang Mai District, opened the door to work and were shocked to discover that the safe in the corner of the room had been broken into by a thief. The entire amount of more than 300 million VND stored in the safe was taken, not a single coin was left. Immediately after that, this information was reported by a representative of Truong Dinh Secondary School to Hoang Mai District Police.

At the crime scene, the safe was broken into and thrown in the room. There were also hammers and other tools that the suspect left behind after committing the crime. From the signs left at the scene, Hoang Mai District Police identified the perpetrator as a school security guard named Tran Van Tuan.

At the police station, Tran Van Tuan confessed that because he was a security guard at the school, he had never been able to escape his eyes. While going around the school on duty, Tuan discovered a large amount of money that was stored in a safe by the school's staff. The intention to steal property had been planned by the subject, waiting for the day to act.

In the early morning of August 24, Tuan used gloves to open the door to the school's finance office to steal property. He used a hammer to smash the safe and created a fake scene after stuffing more than 300 million VND into his person to hide, then returned to his workplace and acted as if nothing had happened.

Even when he received information about the school's missing property, Tuan expressed his indignation at the suspect's criminal behavior. However, this act of the corrupt security guard could not escape the eyes of the Hoang Mai District Police detectives.
