Arrested 350kg of drugs in a transnational crime ring

At 1:00 a.m. on April 3, in Quynh Thien commune, Hoang Mai town, Nghe An province, implementing phase 2 of the plan to combat Project code A121.p to eradicate the drug trafficking ring from Laos to Vietnam, to China for consumption, co-chaired by the Border Guard Drug and Crime Prevention Department and the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with Nghe An Border Guard and Nghe An Provincial Police.

Previously, implementing the first phase of the A121.p Project, on January 21, 2021 and March 20, 2021, in Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province, the investigation force arrested 3 subjects, confiscated evidence including: 115 kg of methamphetamine, 17,600 methamphetamine pills, 2 cars and 1 motorbike.

At the end of Project A121.p, the authorities arrested 4 subjects, seized nearly 350kg of various drugs, 3 cars, 1 motorbike and related evidence.

This is a special project to combat transnational drug crime, the subjects are very sophisticated, cunning, and reckless. The force to fight the case must operate in extremely difficult and arduous conditions for a long time and spread across many provinces and cities.

Currently, the authorities are investigating and handling the case in accordance with the law.
