On the morning of July 10, on behalf of the provincial police leadership, Colonel Nguyen Duc Hai, Deputy Director of Nghe An Police, presented flowers to congratulate officers and soldiers of Dien Chau Traffic Police Station on their determination to fight crime in the arrest of two subjects transporting 2 heroin cakes and 1 kg of crystal meth.

Accordingly, at around 11 p.m. on July 9, the Dien Chau Traffic Police Station Working Group was on patrol duty on National Highway 1A (in Dien Ngoc Commune, Dien Chau District) when they received a report from the public about a car with license plate 29A-515.72 traveling in the direction of Vinh - Hanoi with signs of illegally transporting drugs.

Immediately, the task force signaled to stop the vehicle for inspection and discovered 2 heroin cakes and 1 kg of crystal meth in the vehicle.

During the inspection, the subjects tried to escape but were controlled by the working group and taken to the headquarters. At the police station, the subjects confessed to being Nguyen Phu Nghien (born in 1968, residing in Xuan Tao commune, Bac Tu Liem district, Hanoi) and Nguyen Doan Huan (born in 1969, residing in Thanh Khai commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An).
