(Baonghean.vn) - Two subjects Cam Ba Duc (born in 1979), residing in Chang Piu village, Chau Thuan commune, Quy Chau district and Nguyen Van Bac (born in 1992), residing in Hung Long hamlet, Chau Thai commune, Quy Hop district were arrested by the police for theft of property.

In early June 2023, Quy Chau District Police continuously received reports from people about buffaloes being stolen while roaming in a hilly area of Chau Thuan commune, making people very upset.

Faced with the above situation, Quy Chau District Police urgently verified and collected information. Considering the complicated nature of the case, in order to concentrate forces, means and use professional measures, Quy Chau District Police established a special project to fight.

In Quy Chau district, people often let their buffaloes and cows roam free without anyone watching them. Taking advantage of this, criminals steal buffaloes and cows and then sell them to traders to get money to spend. The areas where buffaloes and cows were stolen are often deserted and few people pass by, so the Task Force encountered many difficulties in fighting and clarifying the situation.

Determined to successfully solve the case as soon as possible, using synchronous professional measures, Quy Chau District Police clarified: Nguyen Van Bac and Cam Ba Duc colluded with each other to steal buffaloes and then sell them.

Accordingly, Cam Ba Duc took advantage of the fact that people let their buffaloes roam free without anyone watching them to steal them and then sell them to trader Nguyen Van Bac for consumption. After committing the crime, Bac and Duc fled the area. After nearly 1 day of deploying forces to arrest them, on June 9, 2023, Quy Chau District Police arrested Nguyen Van Bac while he was hiding in Quynh Luu District. On June 11, 2023, Cam Ba Duc was arrested while he was fleeing to Binh Thuan Province and was transferred to Quy Chau District Police headquarters.

At the same time, Quy Chau District Police deployed forces and vehicles to search for the four stolen buffaloes, promptly preventing the subjects from selling the buffaloes to slaughterhouses in other localities.

Currently, Quy Chau District Police have completed the procedures and returned the four buffaloes to the people. The case is being further investigated and expanded by Quy Chau District Police.
