Arrested 5 tattooed young men carrying cooking oil mixed with shrimp paste to... collect debt

Discovering 5 tattooed young men riding 3 motorbikes without helmets, Ninh Binh City Traffic Police stopped the vehicles to check and discovered that these subjects were carrying many plastic buckets filled with cooking oil mixed with shrimp paste to collect debt.

On November 18, Ninh Binh City Police said that they had just arrested five young men from Hung Yen, Vinh Phuc provinces and Hai Phong city who came to Ninh Binh to... collect debts.

Previously, at around 8:00 p.m. on November 16, while patrolling the Trang An - Tran Hung Dao intersection, the Ninh Binh City Police Task Force discovered 5 tattooed young men riding 3 motorbikes without helmets, carrying many buckets wrapped in black plastic.

Seeing signs of abnormality, the Working Group stopped the vehicle for inspection. At the time of inspection, 5 young men including: Dao Van Duong (born in 1987), Le Ngoc Cuong (born in 1991) and Tran Van Long (born in 1994), all residing in Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city; Nguyen Van Tam (born in 1995, residing in Khoai Chau district, Hung Yen province) and Nguyen Van Chung (born in 1993, residing in Lap Thach district, Vinh Phuc province) were all unable to present identification documents, vehicle registration papers, or driver's licenses.

Upon inspection, the four red plastic buckets carried by the young men were found to be filled with cooking oil mixed with shrimp paste. The subjects stated that Dao Van Duong had a pawn shop in Bac Ninh city (Bac Ninh), and in 2017, three people came to borrow more than 500 million VND but did not pay when due.

Duong knew that the 3 people had fled to Ninh Binh, so he and other people prepared cooking oil mixed with shrimp paste to go to Ninh Binh city to find the 3 people to collect the debt.

Ninh Binh City Police are continuing to investigate the above incident.
