Arrested 6 cases, 42 subjects gambling during Tet

(Baonghean.vn) - In just 6 days before and during Tet, the police force discovered and arrested 42 subjects for gambling, confiscating 48.2 million VND and many other exhibits.

During 6 days (from December 28 to January 4 of the lunar calendar), 10 social order crimes occurred in the province, injuring 12 people, losing 2 motorbikes and 1 welding machine, causing damage of 46 million VND.

Of these, 5 were intentional injuries, 3 were thefts, 1 was destruction of property, and 1 was intentional disturbance of public order. The police force investigated and clarified 7/10 cases, arrested 10 suspects, and recovered 15 million VND.

Police forces coordinate with civil defense and urban regulations to regularly patrol to promptly prevent and handle violations of the law.

In addition, the police force coordinated with functional agencies to detect and arrest 64 cases of transporting, trading and using firecrackers, temporarily detained 70 subjects, and seized 25.7 kg of various types of firecrackers.

In just 6 days before and during Tet, the police force discovered and arrested 42 subjects for gambling, confiscating 48.2 million VND and many other exhibits. Mobilized and arrested 4 wanted subjects.

In Cua Lo town, authorities identified one person dead of unknown cause.

According to the assessment of the provincial police, the social order and security situation in the province during the Tet holidays was basically maintained. The number of incidents and injuries did not increase compared to the same period in 2015. On New Year's Eve, the situation of setting off fireworks was reduced, the social order situation was basically guaranteed.
