Do Quoc Anh was arrested by the police to clarify his behavior of lending money at high interest rates and gambling in the form of recording lottery numbers.
On April 23, news from the Trieu Son District Police, Thanh Hoa Province said that this agency has just initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and temporarily detained Do Quoc Anh (born in 1999, residing in Trieu Son town, Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa province) for the acts of "Lending high interest rates in civil transactions" and "Gambling in the form of recording lottery numbers".

It is known that in September 2018, Do Quoc Anh opened Thao Huong pawn shop (at 80 Tan Phong street, Trieu Son town) but in fact it was lending black credit.through the form of lottery and betting with interest rates ranging from 15% to 30%/month (ie 180% to 216%/year).
During the investigation, Trieu Son District Police determined that from October 2018 until his arrest, Do Quoc Anh had lent money to more than 40 people with an amount of more than 700 million VND, illegally profiting nearly 200 million VND.
In addition, Do Quoc Anh also used cruel tricks with "debtors" who were overdue or refused to pay, such as going to their homes with his accomplices to curse, beat, threaten, or throw paint, oil, and rotten fish sauce into the house to terrorize them mentally.
The case is currently being further investigated by the Trieu Son District Police, Thanh Hoa Province.
