Arrested a group of people trafficking 150kg of firecrackers hidden in a truck from Laos to Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - On December 9, Ky Son District Police said they had successfully fought and discovered a case, arrested two subjects for "Smuggling and trading in prohibited goods", and seized 1.5 tons of firecrackers.
Previously, at about 6:00 p.m. on December 8, 2022, in Block 5, Muong Xen Town, Ky Son District Police, Customs Control Team - Nghe An Customs Department, Team 2 - Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department - General Department of Customs, Nam Can International Border Gate Customs Branch co-chaired and coordinated with Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Station to arrest two subjects, Ho Viet Cuong, born in 1987, residing in Hong Thinh Hamlet, Dien Hong Commune, Dien Chau District and Phan Le Duc, born in 1990, residing in Hamlet 5, Dong Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, when these subjects were transporting firecrackers for sale.

At the scene, the authorities seized 120 36-round fireworks and 38 packages of 100-round fireworks with a total weight of 1.5 quintals.
The above amount of fireworks were hidden by the subjects in the truck cabin, very carefully concealed, but still could not escape the eyes of the police force.
Currently, the police are investigating, expanding the case and handling the subjects according to the provisions of law.
