On the morning of May 22, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Province announced: The Criminal Police Department is completing the file and prosecuting the case of "Gambling and betting" that occurred in Nghi Phong Commune, Nghi Loc District.
Accordingly, at about 8:30 p.m. on April 11, Bach Ngoc Hoan (born 1991), Nguyen Thanh Toan (born 1983), Nguyen Dinh Tu (born 1994), Pham Van Huan (born 1986), Nguyen Dinh Danh (born 1988), Nguyen Van Tin (born 1985), Nguyen Dinh Diep (born 1989), Nguyen Huu Hung (born 1989), Nguyen Duc Yen (born 1973), Pham Hoang Khue (born 1976), Nguyen Dinh Hien (born 1984) all residing in Nghi Phong commune, Nghi Loc district and Dang Khac Dung (born 1991) residing in Hung Phuc ward, Vinh city invited each other to the house of Nguyen Dinh Hong (born 1981) in hamlet 19, Nghi Phong commune.
It was known that Hong's family had just passed away. After sitting for a while, this group of people invited each other to gamble by shaking the dice.

After Hong agreed, the subjects brought a porcelain bowl, a porcelain plate and 4 dice to gamble with each other. Each game was regulated to bet on even or odd with prices ranging from 50,000 - 300,000 VND. Nguyen Dinh Hong, the owner of the house, collected the pool fee (money for lending the place to gamble) from 50,000 - 100,000 VND/person.
After grasping the situation, at 22:45 on the same day, the Working Group of Team 6, Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police caught the subjects red-handed while they were gambling at this location; confiscated 38,500,000 VND along with a set of dishes and dice.
During the investigation, the subjects confessed to their gambling. The police also proved that the amount of money gambled was 16,300,000 VND. At the same time, Hong also confessed that he collected 900,000 VND in betting money from the subjects when he let them gamble at his house. Among the subjects arrested, Nguyen Dinh Danh had 2 previous convictions for theft and intentional injury, Nguyen Dinh Tiep had 1 previous conviction.
Currently, the case is being further investigated and clarified by the Nghe An Provincial Police Department.
