Previously, around the beginning of November 2020, the detectives of the department discovered a suspicious subject frequently traveling in the mountainous areas of Tri Le commune, Que Phong district. Verification showed that the suspect was Lo Van Hau (born in 1988), residing in Thai Phong block, Kim Son town, Que Phong district.
Hau is a long-term drug addict.infected with HIV, regularly interacts and meets with other "drug addicts" and drug-related criminals. Recently, he often goes to the border area between Tri Le and Nam Giai communes to connect and exchange with Mong (Lao) people, get "goods" and then transport them to the northern provinces and cities for consumption.
On November 15, Lo Van Hau took a bus from Que Phong to Hanoi. At Truong Banh intersection, a task force searched, controlled and successfully arrested Lo Van Hau; confiscated evidence, including: 3 heroin cakes (weighing 1,044.96 grams) and 2 mobile phones.At the police station, Lo Van Hau bowed his head and admitted his crime. He confessed that he was hired by a woman with a northern accent to buy and transport the drugs to Hanoi for 20 million VND.
Currently, Que Phong District Police are continuing to investigate, expand the case and consolidate the file to strictly handle the subject according to the provisions of the law.
