Caught a group of men and women gathering to play "phom" for big money in Vinh City
(Baonghean.vn) - During the period of social isolation, 2 men and 3 women chose a 2-storey house in Doi Cung ward, Vinh city to gather to gamble by playing "phom" cards.
On April 20, Vinh City Police said that the City Police Investigation Agency had issued a decision to temporarily detain 5 subjects, including 2 men and 3 women, to continue investigating and clarifying gambling behavior during the period of social isolation.

At around 10:30 p.m. on April 14, after receiving information from the public, Vinh City Police caught 5 people red-handed gambling on the 2nd floor of house number 26, Nguyen Thai Hoc Street (Doi Cung Ward, Vinh City).
The subjects include: Nguyen Thi Quynh Trang (born in 1985), the homeowner, who both participated in gambling and collected money from the pool; Phan Van Thang (born in 1974); Tran Lam Chau (born in 1982), both residing in Block 3, Doi Cung Ward; Nguyen Thi Thinh (born in 1970) and Nguyen Thi Ha (born in 1974), both residing in Hamlet 9, Nghi Phu Commune. During an on-site search, the task force seized 2 decks of playing cards and VND29,740,000.
At the police station, the subjects confessed to gambling using "phom" cards.
It is known that among the group of people participating in gambling, there are 2 people who have criminal records for this crime. The case is currently under further investigation.
