Caught transporting nearly 12,000 poultry without quarantine
(Baonghean.vn) - The Economic Crime and Drug Investigation Police Team of Dien Chau Police coordinated with Dien Hong Commune Police to arrest a case of illegal transportation of nearly 12,000 poultry.

Upon inspection, there were 161 cardboard boxes containing nearly 12,000 poultry including chickens, geese, and ducklings. Driver Dinh Huu Thao, residing in Quynh Tam commune, Quynh Luu district, could not present documents proving the origin and did not have a certificate.quarantine.
The authorities have confiscated all the poultry and imposed administrative fines on the driver. The District Agricultural Service Center has received the poultry and taken samples for avian influenza testing. If the results are negative, the district will issue a quarantine certificate for the poultry, and if the results are positive, they will be destroyed according to regulations.
