Closing ceremony of the Vi and Giam folk song teaching class in Do Luong district

Attending the closing ceremony were representatives of the Department of Culture and Sports, Nghe An Traditional Arts Center; leaders of some departments and branches of Do Luong district.

After 12 days of study, 24 students participating in the Vi and Giam Folk Songs class were taught by experienced artists with knowledge of Vi and Giam Folk Songs the following lessons: Introduction to the characteristics and properties of the melodies and practice of some typical melodies.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee assessed that all students studied seriously, enthusiastically, sang correctly and well the folk songs Vi and Giam and made remarkable progress. Through teaching, it has contributed to further igniting the passion for Vi and Giam folk songs in the students.

The class is carried out under the Project "Protecting and promoting the value of the Heritage of Vi and Giam folk songs of Nghe An province, period 2021-2025" of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, aiming to search for and discover students with musical talent, good voice quality and love for traditional arts to participate in the class teaching Vi and Giam folk songs.

Thereby, fostering skills and career orientation for children, creating a source of future and long-term actors for professional art units. At the same time, building an artistic nucleus for the folk song movement in the locality.

At the end of the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 13 students with outstanding achievements and awarded certificates of completion of the Vi and Giam Folk Song Teaching Class to 24 students./.
