Closing ceremony of the Faith Cup football tournament to raise funds for charity
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 30, the Faith Cup Football Tournament to support the Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School and Yen Khe Secondary School, Con Cuong District, and a number of disadvantaged schools in the province closed - concluding a meaningful and humane playground.
Attending the charity football match were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee;units, philanthropists, businesses in the province and football team members.
The tournament took place over 2 days (September 28 and 30) with the participation of 4 teams: FC OPND and Friends; Department of Transport; FC Social Insurance of the province; FC Summer Hotel.
Besides, the tournament also gathered many Vietnamese football stars who used to play for SLNA such as: Van Quyen, Van Binh, Phan Thanh Hoan, Van Vinh, Hai Nam, Dinh The...
The final match was dramatic, exciting, and featured intense matches with many beautiful moves. As a result, FC OPND and Friends won the championship cup after defeating FC Summer Hotel with a score of 4-1.
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee called for and raised donations to support the Boarding Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities and Yen Khe Secondary School, Con Cuong District, and a number of disadvantaged schools in the province from agencies, units, and businesses with a total amount of 215 million VND.
This money will be donated by the Faith group to schools and students in difficult circumstances in the near future.
