Third Covid-19 patient died with underlying leukemia and severe pneumonia
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Gia Binh - Chairman of the Emergency Resuscitation Association, member of the Treatment Subcommittee of the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, cause of death of patient 499: Malignant blood cancer unresponsive to end-stage chemotherapy, severe pneumonia and COVID-19.

Admitted on July 28, 2020 at Da Nang Oncology Hospital
Medical history: refractory acute myeloid leukemia, type 2 diabetes, hypertension
Died at 4:55 a.m. on August 1, 2020 at Da Nang Oncology Hospital.
According to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Gia Binh - Chairman of the Emergency Resuscitation Association, member of the Treatment Subcommittee of the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, the cause of the patient's death: Malignant blood cancer that did not respond to chemotherapy in the final stage, severe pneumonia and COVID-19.
This is the third patient to die from underlying medical conditions and COVID-19 in our country to date.
