Nghe An General Friendship Hospital hands over Great Solidarity houses to 2 extremely disadvantaged households in Quy Hop

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 29, Nghe An General Friendship Hospital, the Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Hop district coordinated with localities to organize a handover ceremony of 2 Great Solidarity houses to 2 extremely poor families in Chau Thanh and Van Loi communes.

The two families who were handed over the solidarity houses were Ms. Vi Thi Tuyet - a Thai ethnic group in Na An village, Chau Thanh commune and Ms. Truong Thi Ha - a Tho ethnic group in Dai Thanh hamlet, Van Loi commune. Both families are poor, extremely disadvantaged, single parents with long-term illnesses and Ms. Vi Thi Tuyet herself is raising a mentally disabled child. The houses that the two women have lived in for a long time have also been damaged and seriously degraded.

Knowing the situation of the two ladies,Nghe An General Friendship HospitalThrough the Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Hop district, each family was supported with 50 million VND to build a solidarity house. Both houses were completed after 3 months of construction, each house is worth 120-130 million VND.

In addition to the money supported by Nghe An General Hospital, the remaining families borrowed from relatives and received financial support and labor assistance from the Fatherland Front Committee of Chau Thanh and Van Loi communes and other social organizations during the process of building houses.

It is known that in recent times, Nghe An General Friendship Hospital has organized many meaningful social and charity activities such as supporting poor patients,medical examination and treatmentFree for people in disaster areas, building houses of gratitude and solidarity.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Huong - Party Committee Secretary, Director of Nghe An General Friendship Hospital said: The activities of building gratitude houses and solidarity houses contribute to the work of taking care of policy families, meritorious people, and poor households in Quy Hop district. Thereby, demonstrating the good tradition of "Drinking water, remembering its source" of the nation, the spirit of "Mutual love, helping the poor" of the hospital towards poor communes in remote, isolated and especially difficult areas of the province.
