During historical periods, Nghe An General Hospital has always performed excellently in the task of taking care of people's health in the province and the region. Celebrating the 104th anniversary of its tradition, Nghe An General Hospital has increased propaganda and education activities for staff and workers about the process of formation, construction and development of the hospital through many forms. Along with that, the Hospital has also promoted the emulation movement to achieve achievements in medical examination and treatment; actively studied, trained, transferred and deployed new techniques. Departments, rooms and centers have promoted the building of style and attitude of serving the people.

From October 2020 to present, under the direct guidance of the team of experts from Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, Nghe An General Friendship Hospital has performed 6 kidney transplants with absolute success. The successful implementation of kidney transplant techniques has marked a major turning point in the development of technical expertise in medicine in general as well as in the field of organ transplantation in particular; creating a new premise and prospect for the organ transplantation profession in Nghe An.

Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Van Huong - Director of Nghe An General Hospital said: Following this success, Nghe An General Hospital has been preparing resources to purchase equipment; preparing human resources to conduct training in liver and heart transplant techniques. It is expected that by mid-2025, Nghe An General Hospital will be able to perform liver transplant techniques.

Nghe An General Hospital has also continued to strengthen patient-oriented activities on this occasion. Specifically, the hospital organized a charity performance night “Singing to the sick”; organized free haircuts and shampoos for patients.

At the performance on September 17, hospital staff brought songs and voices to the patients being treated at the hospital and their families, giving them more motivation to overcome the pain of illness, to be more optimistic, happy, and secure in their treatment.

Nghe An General Friendship Hospital launched a movement for hospital staff, employees, agencies, units, businesses, organizations and kind-hearted individuals to support patients in difficult circumstances, raising more than 300 million VND.

At this time, Nghe An General Hospital is treating over 2,000 inpatients every day. Among them, there are many patients in extremely difficult circumstances. The free haircut and shampoo program for patients being treated at Nghe An General Hospital carries the message "Clean and fragrant hair - warm love" - ​​"All for the beloved patients". In the program, more than 500 patients received free haircuts and shampoos from Nghe An General Hospital.

It is known that this program has been implemented regularly by the hospital for many years, organized once every quarter. This is an extension of the hospital's quality improvement activities, serving towards patient satisfaction. This program took place in a joyful, eager, and warm atmosphere.

Also on this occasion, Nghe An General Hospital also organized a sports tournament to celebrate the traditional day. The tournament had 3 competitions including football, table tennis and volleyball; with the participation of Nghe An General Hospital, Vinh City General Hospital, Orthopedic Trauma Hospital, Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, and the Department of Health Office.

The sports tournament aims to create competition, maintain the sports movement, create a healthy playground, enhance solidarity, exchange and study among cadres, civil servants and workers in the health sector... Along with that, the Hospital also gave gifts to express gratitude to generations of former hospital leaders and former leaders of departments and offices who have retired./.
