As soon as he was born, the baby was in critical condition due to lack of oxygen and local anemia.
On September 17, the Obstetrics Department of Vinh City General Hospital admitted a pregnant woman named NTC (residing in Do Luong District). The pregnant woman named NTC was diagnosed with fetal distress, premature placental abruption, and acute blood loss. Recognizing that this was a very dangerous obstetric emergency for both mother and baby, especially threatening the life of the newborn, Vinh City General Hospital contacted and asked for support from the upper level, Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital.

At 9:37 a.m. on September 17, a baby girl weighing 2,800 grams was born with weak reflexes, respiratory failure, circulatory failure, and severe anemia. The baby was actively resuscitated by the team of doctors from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital in collaboration with Vinh City General Hospital, and placed an endotracheal tube in the delivery room, then transferred directly to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital for treatment.
At Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, the child underwent blood tests, chest X-rays, echocardiograms, mechanical ventilation, blood transfusions, and was quickly given active hypothermia to protect the brain from damage. At this point, the child's condition was very complicated. And in the following days, the child developed multiple organ failure, complete anuria, and a high risk of death.

After a period of intensive treatment, the child gradually improved, became alert, breathed on his own, and was able to breastfeed.
