Arrested when going from Nghia Dan to Quy Hop to sell drugs, sentenced to 2 years in prison

(Baonghean.vn) - After contributing 250,000 VND each, Le and Vinh invited each other to find Nguyen Duy Hoang to buy drugs to use. While preparing to use them, they were discovered and arrested by the authorities.

The People's Court of Quy Hop district has just opened the first instance trial of the criminal case against defendant Nguyen Duy Hoang (born 1993), residing in Nghia Hieu commune, Nghia Dan district, for the crime of "illegally buying and selling drugs".

According to the indictment, at 6:20 p.m. on June 24, 2017, at the park area of ​​block 17 of Quy Hop town, Quy Hop police discovered Sam Van Le illegally storing drugs, so they brought him to the police station for questioning.

During the struggle, Le confessed that at noon that same day, Le invited Do Van Vinh to contribute 250,000 VND each to go find and buy drugs to use. Arriving at the gate of the NaSu sugar factory in Nghia Xuan commune (Quy Hop), Vinh and Le bought from Nguyen Duy Hoang a package of drugs for 500,000 VND, weighing 0.085g (according to the conclusion of the examination No. 759 of the Criminal Techniques Department of Nghe An police). After buying the drugs, Vinh gave some to Le, when Le was preparing to use them, he was discovered and confiscated.

Arresting and conducting an emergency search at Nguyen Duy Hoang's house in Nghia Hieu commune (Nghia Dan), Quy Hop police discovered and confiscated 2 mobile phones, 1 small scale, 1 leather wallet containing 100,000 VND, 1 cylindrical plastic bottle, 1 piece of polyethylene and 4 pieces of plastic pipe.

At the investigation agency, Hoang confessed that on June 18, 2017, at the park of block 17, Quy Hop town, a strange woman sold Hoang a package of synthetic drugs for 1 million VND, and that person also gave him a small scale. After returning home, Hoang used a little, and sold the rest to Vinh and Le for 500,000 VND.

As for the woman who sold drugs to Hoang, because she did not have a specific name, age, or address, there was no basis for investigation and prosecution. As for Sam Van Le and Do Van Vinh, the act of storing and illegally using drugs did not reach the level of criminal prosecution, so they were only subject to administrative punishment.

For the crime of "illegally buying and selling drugs", the People's Court sentenced defendant Nguyen Duy Hoang to 2 years in prison as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 194 of the Penal Code.
