Meeting Nguyen Thi Anh Thu, she made a special impression on us with her petite figure, bright, intelligent face and jet-black eyes. Anh Thu said that her family lives in village 6, Hoa Son commune. Although it is far from the district center, to satisfy her passion for learning, in grade 6 she asked her parents to register for the entrance exam to Anh Son Secondary School, a specialized school in the district.

As the eldest in a family of two children, her father works as a motorbike repairman and her mother is a population officer at a commune health station. Her work is often busy, so she does not have time or conditions to help her children study. Therefore, since childhood, Anh Thu has always been aware that studying is the most important thing for her future. Her family and she have tried tirelessly. In response to Anh Thu's will, determination and efforts, she has achieved remarkable results. She has always been in the top from primary school to secondary school. From grade 6 to grade 9, her total scores for all subjects were from 9.3 to 9.5 points.
In the 6th grade, in the district's excellent student competition, Anh Thu won first prize in Math and second prize in English; in the 8th grade, she was an outstanding student in the district with remarkable achievements, winning first prize in Math and Chemistry. In the 9th grade, Anh Thu once again brought glory to herself and her family when she won second prize in Math for excellent students at the provincial level.

Sharing her learning experience, Anh Thu said that during class, she focused on listening to the teachers' lectures and tried to do all the exercises in the textbooks. Whatever she did not understand, she boldly discussed with her teachers and friends right in class. In addition to studying in class, at home, she often went online to download documents and types of questions to study more, but did not forget the basic knowledge from textbooks and knowledge from advanced books. This is the most solid material to consolidate her knowledge. She also collected more types of exercises from many different sources to find a way to solve them for herself. Entering her final year of high school, she often studied until nearly 12 o'clock at night and kept the habit of waking up early at 5 o'clock the next morning because this time the quiet space helped her study very effectively.

Talking about the exam results this year, Anh Thu said that in the days leading up to the exam, in addition to focusing on reviewing and consolidating knowledge, she always had to keep herself in the most comfortable state of mind, without worry or pressure, so that the exam preparation would be more effective. During the exam preparation period, she divided her time reasonably to review each subject every day, she did not take any subject lightly and reviewed thoroughly.

For all three subjects of the 10th grade entrance exam, including Math, Literature and English, I had to have my own plan for studying and doing the test. When entering the exam room, although I was quite nervous, I still tried to apply the test-taking method I had planned in advance. The first thing was to do all the questions, because skipping just one question would greatly affect the overall result of the whole test. Next, divide the time into each question package to avoid running out of time, and take the time to check and reread the test before signing and submitting. Commenting on this year's exam, Anh Thu found that the structure of the test was similar to previous years, the knowledge was closely following the curriculum, and the test questions for each subject classified the students' learning ability. But according to Anh Thu, to achieve high scores in the exams, each person also needs to have their own secrets.
