Da Nang Secretary: No issue of relocating the Administrative Center yet

Da Nang Party Secretary Nguyen Xuan Anh said: Currently, no one has raised the issue or discussed the relocation of the Administrative Center.

Leaders of Da Nang City have just met with voters of Hai Chau and Thanh Khe districts. Here, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Anh and Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Huynh Duc Tho both affirmed that relocating the administrative center is a long-term matter.

Voters in Da Nang City raised questions about why the administrative center was inaugurated more than 2 years ago, with a construction cost of more than 2,000 billion VND, but now there is talk of relocation.

Many voters also asked the city leaders to clarify whether the public uproar about moving the administrative center and the intention to sell it to businesses is right or wrong.

Voter Nguyen Lanh, Thac Gian Ward, Thanh Khe District, suggested: “People are at peace, trusting everything, but you say to move the administrative center. The construction cost is 2,100 billion, not a small amount. If it is done, it will be in a few decades, but now is a bit early, and doing it now will lose the people's trust.”

Voters in Hai Chau district also proposed that the City People's Council resolve many issues such as suspended projects causing environmental pollution and difficulties for people's lives; expressed concerns and requested that the city take strong action against corruption and security and order issues; strengthen management and end illegal tourism activities.

Many opinions suggested paying attention to building community activity houses. Voters were also concerned about information about the revocation of Chi Lang Stadium, violations at the Cancer Hospital; inadequacies in compensation and clearance, and policy settlement.

Responding to voters' opinions, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh - Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee affirmed that, up to now, the city's leaders have not organized any meetings or made any decisions on relocating the administrative center.

Regarding the issue of illegal tourism, the city has also implemented many solutions to put the city's tourism activities into order.

Regarding voters' recommendations on parking lots, community centers, sidewalk encroachment, etc., Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Anh requested Hai Chau district to promptly inspect and handle the issue and hoped that voters would supervise the resolution of these shortcomings.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Anh affirmed that in the coming time, Da Nang will continue to focus on improving and attracting investment; implementing the program "5 no, 3 yes", environmental city, 4 safe city.

Regarding illegal tourism activities and anti-corruption, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh said: “In Da Nang City, it is absolutely necessary to put tourism activities in order. Da Nang tourism must be healthy, everyone who comes here is welcomed, but anyone who violates the law will be punished. We have never been lenient with corruption, negativity, and waste. Voters can rest assured that we will handle such cases seriously, very seriously. Some recent cases that occurred in the area were handled very seriously by the city, including dismissal, dismissal, and demotion, but there was no collusion, compromise, or leniency with corrupt and wasteful subjects”./.
