Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung offers incense to commemorate martyrs at Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site
(Baonghean.vn) - The delegation of Hanoi Capital and Nghe An province respectfully offered gifts, fresh flowers, lit incense sticks, and observed a moment of silence to express their respect, admiration, and deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs at the Truong Bon fire coordinates.

On the morning of July 18, on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023), towards the 55th anniversary of Truong Bon Victory (October 31, 1968 - October 31, 2023), the delegation of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City on behalf of the Party Committee, Government and People of Hanoi Capital visited Truong Bon National Historical Site in My Son Commune, Do Luong District, Nghe An Province to pay tribute to heroic martyrs.
Comrade Dinh Tien Dung - Politburo member, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hanoi City National Assembly Delegation as head of the delegation. Also attending were Comrade Nguyen Van Phong - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; comrades in the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the City Party Executive Committee, representatives of departments, branches, sectors, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations of Hanoi City.

Representatives of Nghe An province welcomed and attended the ceremony with comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; along with comrades in the Standing Committee, committees, the Provincial Party Committee Office, representatives of departments, branches, the Fatherland Front, and provincial-level mass organizations; Standing Committee of Do Luong District Party Committee.

Truong Bon, a sacred land, a shining symbol of revolutionary heroism, where the blood of comrades and compatriots was shed in the long march to liberate the nation. A place marked by the fiery footsteps of hundreds of thousands of young men who fought their way across Truong Son to save the country. Young men and women aged 18 and 20 entered the war with all their optimism, desire to live and responsibility for the country. 1,240 outstanding sons and daughters fell on the legendary road, typified by the heroic sacrifice of 13 Youth Volunteers of Company 317 on October 31, 1968.

At the sacred Truong Bon, in front of the mass grave of 13 heroic martyrs, comrade Dinh Tien Dung - Politburo member, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hanoi City National Assembly Delegation and the delegation respectfully offered flowers and memorial services, expressing their respect, admiration and deep gratitude to the outstanding children who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Their youth will forever remain in the motherland of Truong Bon.



Next, at the Memorial House of 1,240 heroic martyrs, the delegation of Hanoi Capital and Nghe An province respectfully offered gifts, fresh flowers, lit incense sticks, and observed a minute of silence to express their respect, admiration, and deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs.



During a working trip to Nghe An province, the high-ranking delegation of Hanoi City donated 3 billion VND to Nghe An province to carry out social security work; presented gifts to 10 policy families and 150 poor students who overcame difficulties to study well in the province, with a total cost of 300 million VND. With affection and sharing with teachers and students in the mountainous border areas, Hanoi City decided to support 20 billion VND to build Na Ngoi Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, Ky Son district.
