Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary directed to resolve 25 petitions at the citizen reception session in May

Attending the meeting on the afternoon of May 7, there were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Bui Thanh An - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; Le Minh Thong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Party Committee, the Provincial Citizen Reception Committee, relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities.

During the afternoon session, people made recommendations and complaints regarding land transactions and some violations by individuals in Hoa Thanh, Vien Thanh and My Thanh communes (Yen Thanh district). In response to this content of citizens, the Chairman of Yen Thanh District People's Committee gave a specific explanation, including that the related individuals who committed violations had been strictly handled.

The Provincial Party Secretary directed the leaders of Yen Thanh district to be responsible for dialogue with the people at the meetings of the district leaders, and at the same time, to answer and handle citizens' petitions in accordance with regulations and authority. If the district cannot handle it, citizens are requested to report to the provincial leaders for consideration and direction.

Also at the afternoon session, people reflected and made recommendations on a number of issues related to land and housing in Le Loi, Cua Nam, and Le Mao wards (Vinh city); questioned the work of officials in Thuong Son commune (Do Luong district) and a number of land-related issues in Nghi Thuan commune (Nghi Loc district).

After each citizen's feedback, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh directly responded and explained each content and assigned relevant authorities and localities to clarify a number of specific issues and respond to citizens in writing in accordance with the law.

For some specific cases, the Provincial Party Secretary requested relevant agencies to set up inspection teams to carefully examine and appraise the content of the petition, research handling methods to advise the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to direct the settlement for the people in accordance with the provisions of law.
