On the afternoon of May 18, in Vinh city, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee jointly organized a national scientific conference: "President Ho Chi Minh - A noble symbol of the will and aspiration for national independence, freedom and happiness for the people".

President Ho Chi Minh was born into a family of patriotic scholars, in the land of Nghe An, rich in cultural and revolutionary traditions. Throughout the history of building and defending the country, Nghe An was for a long time considered a “hot pond and copper citadel”, a land of fences and fences “keys of dynasties”.

This land has always had to face many hardships and challenges due to natural disasters and wars. And it is also this land that, generation after generation, has produced many heroes, writers, and many steadfast revolutionary soldiers with deep patriotism and love for the people.

As a choice of history, the source of that fine tradition of the homeland and family has converged, crystallized and shone in the soul and personality of President Ho Chi Minh since his childhood; nurturing in his heart a great ambition: To find a way to save the country and save the people; urging him throughout his life to always steadfastly fulfill his burning desire: "How can our country be completely independent, our people be completely free, our compatriots all have enough food and clothes, everyone can study".

Inheriting and promoting the great achievements from many previous terms, implementing the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, the Party Committee, government and people of all walks of life in the province have united, united, highly determined, made great efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges to focus on socio-economic development and achieved quite comprehensive results in many fields, some aspects are bright spots of the whole country.

The scale of GRDP in 2024 will reach 216.9 trillion VND, ranking 10th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide. The growth rate of total product in 2024 will reach 9.01%, ranking 13th nationwide. Investment attraction has achieved very positive results, especially attracting foreign investment capital. In the past 3 years, Nghe An province has continuously been in the top 10 localities attracting the largest FDI in the country.

The quality of comprehensive education has made much progress, and key education has always maintained its position among the leading groups nationwide. The healthcare system continues to be invested in and developed synchronously from the provincial to the grassroots levels. Social security work has received attention from the Party Committee and the government; the material and spiritual life of the people has been increasingly improved.
