Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung visited and presented gifts to workers on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation Day.

On the afternoon of April 9, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the provincial delegation visited and presented gifts to the Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center and some typical families of meritorious people in Vinh city and Nghi Loc district.

The delegation included comrade Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee; members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee: Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Nguyen Viet Hung - Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Nguyen Dinh Hung - Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office; Duong Dinh Chinh - Secretary of the Nghi Loc District Party Committee. Also accompanying was Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi - Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung and his delegation visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Duan, 102 years old, residing in Hamlet 6, Nghi My Commune, Nghi Loc District.

Duân’s mother gave birth to 6 children, including 2 sons who are martyrs. Currently, the family has only found the remains of 1 martyr and brought them back to their hometown for burial, the remains of 1 martyr have not been found.

Inquiring about the health of the mother and her family, the Provincial Party Secretary affirmed that the Party and State always respect and appreciate the great contributions of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and families of people with meritorious services to the nation's revolutionary cause. The contributions and sacrifices of the mother and her family have allowed future generations to live in peace and have a better life.

Giving gifts to mother Nguyen Thi Duan, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung wished her to always stay healthy, live happily, live healthily, live long and continue to be a shining example for her children and grandchildren to follow.

Visiting and presenting gifts to cadres, wounded soldiers and sick soldiers being cared for at Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center, in the emotional and proud atmosphere of the historic April days, towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung expressed his emotion at meeting the wounded soldiers and sick soldiers and sent them his best wishes for health, hoping that they will always be happy and healthy, in line with the spirit of "Wounded soldiers are disabled but not useless".

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that the Great Victory of Spring 1975, culminating in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, was a brilliant milestone in the history of national construction and defense.

The victories in the nation's revolutions have had great contributions from many generations, including the wounded and sick soldiers here.

Although the war has ended, you still carry the wounds and pain of war. You are shining examples to educate future generations about patriotism, duty and responsibility to contribute to building an increasingly developed country.

Affirming that future generations will always remember, be grateful and pay tribute to the contributions, losses and sacrifices of wounded soldiers, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung affirmed that the Party, State, Party committees and authorities at all levels of Nghe An province always pay special attention to those who have contributed to the country.

The province has implemented the Gratitude Movement well. Currently, more than 64,000 meritorious people in the province are enjoying policies.

In addition, the province is determined to achieve socio-economic development goals, making Nghe An soon become a prosperous province as Uncle Ho always wished. At that time, the province will have better conditions to care for those who have contributed, those who have sacrificed a part of their blood and bones for the country.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung also acknowledged and highly appreciated the great and meaningful results of Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center after more than 50 years of establishment; efforts to care for wounded and sick soldiers with a spirit of dedication, devotion and devotion.

Next, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung and the delegation visited the family of Mr. Ton That Khang, 68 years old, a 1/4 severely disabled veteran in block 12, Ben Thuy ward, Vinh city.

Mr. Khang enlisted in March 1975, was injured on January 25, 1977 in Ky Tan, Ky Anh, Ha Tinh, received 1/4 Disabled Soldier benefits, 81% disability rate, lost both legs, and has suffered from a stroke for more than 20 years.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung expressed his deep gratitude for Mr. Khang's important contributions to national independence and freedom and wished him and his family good health and happiness, continuing to promote the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers to contribute to building a prosperous and developed locality.
