Speaking to leaders, officers and employees of the Department of Health, the head of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee shared and sympathized with the enormous pressures, difficulties and challenges that the health sector has faced over the past 3 years in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, which has had a profound and comprehensive impact on people's psychology, health and lives; socio-economic activities, national defense - security, foreign affairs...

However, the entire sector has clearly affirmed its role, proactively, actively, responsibly, and devotedly fulfilling its mission and duty to take care of people's health; at the same time, coordinating with all levels, sectors, and localities to advise the province to soon overcome the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring both disease prevention and control and economic development; thereby contributing to making Nghe An one of the provinces that quickly "adapt safely, flexibly, and effectively control the Covid-19 epidemic".

Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy highly appreciated the sector's efforts to develop the medical examination and treatment network in the province, diversifying its types. Currently, the province has 61 medical examination and treatment facilities to serve the people in the province and neighboring provinces as well as Laos.

The quality of medical examination and treatment has been greatly improved at all three levels (commune, district, province). The sector has also mastered many new, high-tech, and specialized technical applications to serve the work of diagnosis and health care for the people. Medical ethics and attitudes towards patients and their families have changed dramatically.

The industry has also implemented the province's support policy well, together with medical facilities to encourage and create conditions to send hundreds of doctors for training, improve their capacity and qualifications to master's and doctorate degrees; thereby building a core team, the nucleus for the development process.

The Provincial Party Secretary also highly appreciated the initiative of the Health sector in implementing cooperation and connection activities, organizing many major medical events in the province; thereby enhancing the role and position of the provincial Health sector, while opening up many opportunities to exchange and learn more valuable techniques and experiences in medical examination and treatment.

The above results have confirmed that Nghe An's health sector is increasingly developing and gradually demonstrating its role as a medical center in the North Central region.

On behalf of the provincial leaders and the working delegation, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the results achieved by the entire health sector in recent times.

In the coming time, the Provincial Party Secretary noted that, in the face of the risk of new epidemics appearing and spreading, the industry needs to do a better job of disease prevention and control in the spirit of not being surprised or confused; even needing to research and advise on organizing epidemic prevention and control drills.

The head of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee also requested that the entire sector continue to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment for people; especially the process of receiving, implementing and mastering many new, high-tech and specialized medical techniques should not only stop at provincial hospitals, but also need to be transferred to lower levels to serve the work of diagnosis and better health care for people; as well as continuing to pay attention to improving the quality of initial medical examination and treatment at the commune level.

To promote the achieved results, the health sector also needs to continue to improve medical ethics, especially attitude and service quality in medical facilities.

The Provincial Party Secretary also noted that the entire industry must perform well the State management work to ensure the rapid development of the network, but must be closely linked to ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with regulations; not allowing hot development to lead to many shortcomings and unhealthy competition.

At the same time, the industry needs to continue to pay attention to training to develop a team of good, highly skilled people to be the core of the industry's development; continue to promote cooperation, connection and organization of medical events. The province is very willing to support the health sector in organizing activities related to medical science and technology.

The Provincial Party Secretary also noted that the provincial health sector should continue to effectively carry out cooperation, support and assistance to localities in Laos.

Thereby, continuing to affirm the role and position in advising the province to build Nghe An into a medical center of the North Central region, contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 26 of the Politburo on Nghe An.

The close, timely, comprehensive leadership and direction, along with the timely sharing and encouragement of the provincial leaders, will help the industry have more motivation to overcome difficulties and perform well the assigned tasks.

In particular, 2023 is the mid-term year of the 2020-2025 term, the sector is focusing on reviewing the targets to propose solutions to implement and successfully complete the goals of the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress in the field of Health, as well as annual targets; striving by 2025, the Nghe An Health sector will play a central role in the North Central region.

On behalf of the entire industry, Director of the Department of Health Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa promised to make efforts and focus on overcoming difficulties to complete the task well.

The Director of the Department of Health also hopes that in the coming time, the sector will continue to receive the attention, leadership and direction of the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, departments and branches to better perform its tasks.
