The Politburo works on preparing for the congresses of Party committees directly under the Central Committee.

Group 1, chaired by Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc - Politburo member and Prime Minister, worked with the Party Committees of Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang and Ha Nam provinces.

Group 2, chaired by Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan - Politburo member, National Assembly Chairwoman, worked with the Party Committees of Ha Tinh, Hoa Binh, Bac Ninh and Lai Chau provinces.

Group 3, chaired by Comrade Tran Quoc Vuong - Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, worked with the Party Committees of Ninh Binh, Long An, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh and An Giang provinces.

Attending the working sessions were representatives of the Central Party Committees, the Central Party Office and representatives of a number of ministries and branches.

The Central Party Office said that at the working sessions, after listening to representatives of provincial Party leaders presenting draft documents and personnel work plans for the 2020-2025 term, and comments from central committees, ministries and branches, Politburo and Secretariat members gave their comments on the documents of the Party Committees.

Regarding the draft Political Report of the Party Committee and the draft Resolution to be submitted to the Party Congress, the representativePolitburo, The Secretariat gave opinions on important issues such as topics, structure; main assessments and comments; directions, goals, tasks, major solutions; basic contents of the Political Report included in the draft Resolution, major orientations stated in the draft Political Report submitted to the 13th National Party Congress that are directly related to Party committees. Regarding the draft Report reviewing the leadership and direction of the Party Executive Committee, it gave opinions mainly on the seriousness and combativeness in self-criticism and criticism of the Party Committee; on the content and methods of leadership; good experiences, new ways of leadership and direction of the Party Committee and especially the implementation of political tasks at the local level. Regarding the Party Committee's personnel plan, it gave opinions on the process of personnel preparation, the number of the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and on the standards, especially the age structure, the proportion of young people, the proportion of women, and the re-election rate.

Based on the concluding opinions of the conference chair and the opinions of the Politburo comrades,Secretariat, Central committees, ministries, branches, and Party committees will continue to supplement and complete draft documents and personnel work plans for the Congress to successfully organize the Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

Thus, as of August 29, 2020, the Politburo has worked with 27/67 Party Committees directly under the Central Committee. The work organization has been prepared seriously, thoughtfully, responsibly, thoroughly and well implemented by Party Committees and relevant agencies in accordance with Directive No. 35-CT/TW of the Politburo and regulations and instructions of the Central Committee.
