Nghe An Provincial Military Command provides relief and visits to flood victims
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 31, the Provincial Military Command organized working groups to transport and supply relief goods from the Ministry of National Defense and the Military Region 4 Command to people in localities isolated by floods in Vinh City, Hung Nguyen, Thanh Chuong, Do Luong, and Nghi Loc districts.

As of 10am this morning, heavy rain continued to fall in Nghe An province. Many communes and villages are still isolated. The Nghe An Provincial Military Command continues to mobilize forces and technical means to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. The Provincial Military Command established 5 working groups to provide food and provisions to the people. In particular, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command received and transported 5 tons of dry food from the Ministry of National Defense and the Military Region 4 Command to support people in isolated localities in Vinh City, Hung Nguyen, Thanh Chuong, Do Luong and Nghi Loc districts. The Provincial Military Command also established special propaganda teams to mobilize people to evacuate and relocate from areas at risk of flooding or landslides; raise awareness of drowning prevention; and limit travel to flooded areas. Military commands of districts, cities and towns have strengthened on-duty work, prepared forces and technical equipment according to the 4-on-the-spot motto to be ready to support people when situations arise.
