Appointment of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 5, Nghe An Newspaper held a ceremony to announce the decision to appoint the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper. Comrade Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended the ceremony and presented the appointment decision.

Also attending were representatives of the leaders of the Organization and Propaganda Departments, the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Provincial Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies, the Department of Information and Communications, comrades in the Editorial Board and officers, reporters and staff of Nghe An Newspaper.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Quang Huy presented Decision No. 889 - QD/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee dated December 29, 2016 appointing for a term (5 years) comrade Tran Huu Nghia, Head of the Current Affairs - Politics Department, Nghe An Newspaper to hold the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Quang Huy emphasized that with more than 55 years of establishment and development, generations of cadres and reporters of the newspaper have clearly demonstrated their roles and performed well the functions and tasks as the agency of the Communist Party of Vietnam in Nghe An province, the voice of the Party, government and people of Nghe An and received many noble awards.

"Nghe An Newspaper has performed well its pioneering role on the political and ideological front, providing criticism, supervision, and guiding public opinion, and is a consulting channel to help the Party Committee and government, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province," Deputy Secretary Le Quang Huy emphasized.

Comrade Le Quang Huy also highly appreciated the successful model of the convergence newsroom that Nghe An Newspaper has built, in line with modern journalism trends.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Quang Huy hopes that the new Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper will continue to learn, practice, and improve his professional knowledge and political qualities; and be a good colleague to successfully fulfill his assigned duties and tasks.

Comrade Le Quang Huy hopes that Nghe An Newspaper will continue to develop both print and electronic publications; build an effective and creative working environment, unleash the intellectual power of the staff, reporters and editors; and at the same time pay attention to helping Comrade Tran Huu Nghia fulfill his tasks in his new position.

“The Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee wishes Nghe An Newspaper to develop further with the spirit of bravery - intelligence - innovation”, Deputy Secretary Le Quang Huy confided; at the same time, he sent New Year wishes of happiness and luck to all cadres, reporters and editors of Nghe An Newspaper.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Pham Thi Hong Toan emphasized that the appointment of local staff to the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief shows the recognition of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, sectors and people for the development of Nghe An Newspaper.

The Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper also affirmed that, in the context of information explosion, although the Nghe An Newspaper has successfully built a convergent newsroom model, it is determined not to stop but to continue building the Project "Integrated convergent newsroom" to more effectively perform its roles and tasks, therefore, the appointment of a Deputy Editor-in-Chief is a necessary personnel addition.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Tran Huu Nghia respectfully thanked the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee for entrusting him with the important responsibility of holding the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper; thanked the Editorial Board, staff and reporters for helping him grow up, and promised to be exemplary, pioneering and dedicated to his work.

Previously, on January 1, 2017, comrade Lam Van Doan - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper retired according to the regime.
