Major General Do Danh Vuong and the delegation inspected and visited officers and soldiers who are directly guarding the border of the Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Station. The Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Station is responsible for protecting the 29.752 km long border, controlling the Nam Can International Border Gate and the area of ​​Ta Ca and Nam Can communes, Ky Son district, Nghe An province.

Since the Covid-19 epidemic became complicated, following the direction of the Border Guard Command, the Command of the Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Station has synchronously deployed measures to ensure strict control of the border gate and border, and mobilized people to prevent and combat the spread of the epidemic. The unit has coordinated to complete entry procedures for 1,688 Vietnamese citizens returning to the country, classified them, and handed them over to the authorities to organize centralized quarantine for health monitoring according to regulations.

During the implementation of the mission, the Border Guard Station also promptly fought and arrested 1 case of illegal transportation of goods across the border, seizing 64,500 medical masks, 696 bottles of hand sanitizer, 970 bottles of antibacterial water; Coordinated with Ky Son District Police to arrest 2 cases/2 subjects of illegal drug trafficking... Currently, the unit is maintaining 5 working groups to block the border, prevent illegal entry and exit activities, and ensure security and order in the area.

Major General Do Danh Vuong assessed: In the past time, together with units in the entire force, Nghe An Border Guard, including Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Station, has synchronously deployed measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic, while firmly protecting the national border security and sovereignty. Officers and soldiers have made efforts, overcome difficulties with the local authorities and people to perform well the assigned tasks. Major General Do Danh Vuong emphasized that our country has initially achieved important results, but the epidemic is forecast to continue to develop complicatedly, so the unit's command needs to continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the direction of the Government, the Ministry of National Defense, the Border Guard Command and local authorities in implementing epidemic prevention and control measures.
