On the morning of May 31, the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee held a working session with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to evaluate the results of coordination work in the period 2014 - 2019.

Not thoroughly resolved issues of public concern

Implementing the coordination program, from 2014 up to now, the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department have effectively coordinated to deploy many contents; in which the focus is on coordinating to deploy the socio-economic development plan, solving pressing issues among the people; in the fields of science and education, culture and society; propaganda work, press, culture and arts; information work, public opinion...

Through coordination, it has contributed to promoting the implementation of tasks of socio-economic development, national defense - security, foreign affairs, Party building and political system in the province.

At the meeting, some opinions also frankly clarified the limitations and shortcomings in coordination. That is, there has not been close coordination in implementing the Party's Resolutions; the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department is the agency directly implementing the Resolution, but the implementation of departments, branches and localities has not been promptly responded to the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to continue coordinating propaganda, or promptly advise the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on related issues.

The Provincial People's Committee has not been proactive in providing socio-economic reports as well as policies, strategies and projects for the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to propagate. On the other hand, the departments, branches and localities have not been thorough and decisive in resolving issues of public concern and concern, affecting the ideological work of the people.

The two sides have not yet coordinated to review and urge the implementation of the targets of the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2015 - 2020, especially targets in the field of science and education.

Focus on handling issues raised by the press

Agreeing with the above opinions, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Thi Thu Huong said that in the coming time, the two sides need to strengthen coordination in handling issues raised by the press, on the one hand to rectify all levels and sectors in State management, and at the same time raise the press's sense of social responsibility.

To do so, it is recommended that departments, branches and localities take responsibility for promptly and accurately informing the issues raised by the press.

On the other hand, to limit pressing issues, the two sides also need to strengthen coordination in disseminating issues that have wide-ranging and sensitive impacts, and can easily cause multi-dimensional public opinion impacts, such as those related to project implementation, site clearance, mass complaints, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy emphasized a number of key coordination areas between the two agencies in the coming time; including focusing on coordinating propaganda and urging the implementation of resolutions and directives of the Party at all levels as well as policies and projects of the Provincial People's Committee; coordinating to analyze, forecast and promptly advise the Party Committee to direct and handle issues in the field of science and technology.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also affirmed that the two sides will increase exchanges and information provision, contributing to promoting the implementation of each side's political tasks; at the same time, step up propaganda of revolutionary movements, new factors and models, creating strong spillovers, contributing to the good implementation of socio-economic, defense - security targets, and building the political system in the province.

The two sides will also strengthen coordination and coordinate more effectively to effectively resolve pressing social issues as well as issues raised by the press, creating high social consensus for the common development of the province.

On the part of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, it will also be responsible for urging departments, branches and localities to be more active, responsible and thorough in resolving public opinion and pressing issues among the people, thereby improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the apparatus, consolidating people's trust in authorities at all levels.
