(Baonghean.vn) - Comrade Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, President of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union emphasized: Cadres, civil servants, and public employees need to say no to negativity to put the interests of the people first.

On the afternoon of August 28, in Cua Lo town, the training conference on trade union work continued for trade union officials under the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union and trade union officials of provinces and cities in the Northern region.

At the conference, comrade Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, President of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union directly deployed important contents of the campaign "Cadres, civil servants, and public employees say no to negativity".

The campaign focuses on the "5 no's" criteria, including: No authoritarianism, arrogance, causing difficulties and troubles; No bureaucracy, indifference, irresponsibility; No corruption, waste, group interests; No flattery, lobbying, deceit; No taking advantage of positions and powers in performing public duties.

Currently, there is still a large number of cadres, civil servants and public employees showing signs of moral and lifestyle degradation when they have negative behaviors, are corrupt, and cause trouble and harassment to the people.

To completely resolve the above situation, the campaign is a guideline for action for all levels of the Trade Union to eliminate localism and put the interests of the people first. It is necessary to develop a set of criteria and regulations on collecting opinions to assess the satisfaction of the people and businesses with agencies, organizations, units, especially cadres, civil servants and public employees who directly handle work with the people. From there, impose sanctions and strict handling measures for groups and individuals who are negative or have low satisfaction indexes.

“Cadres, civil servants and public employees need to promote the spirit of self-criticism and criticism, effectively implement the grassroots democracy regulations, and contribute to monitoring, detecting, combating, preventing and repelling negative behaviors,” comrade Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized.

Regarding the thematic content on opportunities and challenges of Vietnam Trade Unions in integration and participation in the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), comrade Ngo Duy Hieu stated that if trade unions do not quickly and strongly innovate in organization and operation, it is very easy for a "flow" of union members and workers from Vietnamese trade unions to trade unions abroad. Therefore, it is necessary to continue to innovate the work of trade union cadres throughout the system, to be able to meet the requirements of trade union activities in the new situation.
