On the afternoon of June 12, delegates listened to and gave their opinions on the results of work in the first 6 months of 2017 in 4 areas: anti-corruption; receiving people, handling complaints and denunciations; fighting against crimes and law violations; and ensuring traffic safety.

The reported results clearly show the efforts that the sectors and levels have made in the first 6 months of the year, such as: In the first 6 months of the year, there were no cases where the heads had to be held responsible for corruption according to Decree 107/2006/ND-CP dated September 22, 2006 of the Government; the whole province has resolved 84/97 complaints arising under its authority, reaching a rate of 86.6%; focusing on directing the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to simultaneously organize the launching ceremony for the implementation of the Traffic Safety Year 2017 and launching the clearance of traffic safety corridors and urban sidewalks;...

Opinions at the conference were in high agreement with the reports presented by the departments and branches. However, some delegates said that in addition to the results achieved, it is necessary to focus on analyzing the causes of limitations and shortcomings to find solutions to overcome them.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the preparation of full and detailed reports as well as the results that departments and branches have achieved in the first 6 months of 2017. He requested that in the coming time, it is necessary to overcome existing limitations and effectively carry out key tasks in the last 6 months of the year.

Regarding the report on citizen reception and complaint settlement, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Inspectorate to have a more specific assessment of citizen reception at the commune level, to see whether the pilot dialogue between the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee and the Chairman of the Commune People's Council with citizens is effective or not and whether it should be expanded or not.

Regarding the work of receiving people and resolving complaints and denunciations at the district level, it is necessary to clearly indicate which districts are doing well and which are not. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested that the competent authorities should propagate and explain to help citizens clearly distinguish between complaints and denunciations.

At the meeting, delegates also approved 5 drafts to submit to the Provincial People's Council at the 4th session of the 17th term, including the Resolution of the People's Council amending and supplementing Resolution No. 65/2012/NQ-HDND dated December 13, 2012 regulating the level of allowances for cadres and civil servants working in public reception, handling complaints, denunciations, petitions and reflections in Nghe An province; Resolution of the People's Council amending and supplementing Resolution No. 66/2012/NQ-HDND dated December 13, 2012 of the Provincial People's Council on the level of deductions from recovered amounts discovered through inspection work that have been paid to the state budget in the province; Resolution of the Provincial People's Council stipulating the level of budget allocation for each type of legal document in the province; Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on the results of handling the review of legal documents issued by the Provincial People's Council from December 31, 2016 and earlier that are still in effect; Resolution of the Provincial People's Council regulating the content and level of expenditure for state management of law enforcement and handling of administrative violations./.
